Spray Foam Roofing

Sprayed polyurethane foam is applied as a liquid using plural-component spray equipment to fill cracks and crevices.  It then expands to approximately 30 times its original liquid volume to form a hard, closed cell monolithic roof surface.  The polyurethane foam dries within seconds after applied to the roof surface.  Its expansion results in a weather tight roofing membrane that is fully adhered to the substrate.  Because polyurethane foam is lightweight it adds little additional weight to structure and is often used in remedial applications.  Polyurethane foam has a history of more than 35 years as a maintainable roofing medium.  It also adds excellent insulation value to the structure and utility bills reflect the difference.

Once the polyurethane foam is applied, a protective layer of elastomeric coating is applied.  This protective layer produces a durable, weather resistant surface that can be walked on for normal maintenance.

Tile Roofing

The most important part of a tile roof is the thick protective paper, also called felt and underlayment, hidden under your tiles.   If this underlayment gets worn, the roof and home could be at risk for leaks and other damage.    It provides most of your roof’s protection and wears out much more quickly than most tiles.  Your tiles could be in perfect condition while your underlayment is in need of replacement.  Often, new homes are built with cheaper roof underlayment that doesn’t even last 10 years.  If you have never had your roof underlayment checked, you should, even if you have a newer home.

Asphalt shingles are available in a tremendous range of colors and styles.  Asphalt shingles are available in a basic “three-tab” design; the middle-range “dimensional” or “laminated” shingle; and the “top of the line” heavyweight shingles.  Noted for their low cost and ease of application, asphalt shingles continue to be popular due to their great look.
